This story takes place after the time skip. Kiba, Hinata and all the other are sixteen years in this story.
There will be some NaruSaku as well, but its only a side-pairing. I did this, because a friend asked me to have that couple in the story,
so I thought why not ^^

Read to find out and Ill make sure that its worth your time ;)
On a sunny afternoon we find the young Hyuuga heiress Hinata kneeled down on the soft grass near the river of team eights training grounds. Exhausted from the intense training, the young purple haired girl decided to take a break. Her team mates, Kiba and Shino, were away on a mission together with Sakura and Naruto. So she was all alone at the moment. She didnt mind this too much though, because this gave her a chance to practice her ninjutsu more.
Noticing that training without her team mates around was really lonely, she let out a sigh. It made her feel a little lost to be honest. But knowing that they would return to the village later today gave her the strength to continue. It didnt help much that the sun was blazing hot though. The hot sun made her face all red and sweat appeared on her forehead, which she wiped away with her hands. Reaching for her water bottle, she drank every last drop until there was really nothing left. She shook her head and let out a sigh before she continued her fierce training again.
The rest of the day went by very slowly. Longing to see her team again made her pass the gates more than five times today; although she knew that they were to return at nightfall.
At dinnertime the entire Hyuuga family ate in silence as each of them was enjoying their meal in front of them. Hinata was the only one who wasnt concentrated on the plate in front of her. The girl was not really aware of her surrounding, thinking about a certain someone by the name of Uzumaki Naruto.
Hyuuga Hiashi gave his eldest daughter a strict look when he saw her daydreaming. He wished that she would stop thinking about that demon boy and concentre more on her training. Hinata, will you please stop spacing out over dinner. Its bad enough that you arent improving in terms of strength, but thinking about that useless demon brat all the time annoys me greatly. He is not worth your time. I demand you to stop spacing out like that. Its not fit for a Hyuuga to do this, young lady.
Looking up and shocked by her fathers words, Hinata faced her father with a sad look in her eyes. Yes father, I am sorry. It wont happen again.
The strict and serious man only nodded his head before continuing his dinner. Hanabi, Hinatas younger sister, gave her big sister a worried look. She wanted her sister to be happy with the guy she loved. If only said boy wasnt so dense to not notice her sisters affections. They could have been a very happy couple by now. That was if the blonde boy loved her back. And she hated to admit it, but she wasnt too sure about that.
It was totally different when it came to one of her sisters team mates though. The dog boy seemed to really care for her sister and it seemed that he saw her as more than just a friend as well. Too bad Hinata saw nothing more than a trusted team mate and friend in him. You could say that both Hinata and Naruto were too dense to notice what was right in front of them. The younger Hyuuga girl sighed and continued eating, knowing that some very interesting things were going to happen soon enough.
After dinner Hinata went to the gates once again, hoping to see her team mates and especially Naruto. It has been almost a year now since he got back from his trip with the legendary sennin Jiraiya. She was kind of disappointed in herself though. Even after all this time, she still couldnt tell him her feelings. But what bothered her the most was that she still passed out every time the blonde boy came close to her. And who was the one who always had to catch her. It was always her trusted team mate. She was thankful for him, but still she wanted Naruto to be the one to catch her. This made her a bit annoyed from time to time.
Her father wanted her to forget about her crush as well, but that was one thing she was not able to do. If the man only knew how much she loved that crazy mischievous boy. A sigh left her lips once again. It was like the whole world was against her...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kiba suppressed a yawn while he could see that they were getting closer to the village again. It had been a very stressful and long mission, but in the end he and Naruto had defeated the villains from the hidden Rock village. He didnt even had a scratch on him because of the wonderful healing techniques of Sakura, the medic-nin. It had been five long days full of fighting and protecting the people of the Rock village. Just like the rest of the team, he was tired but content.
While riding his dog, Akamaru, Kiba couldnt help but think that the mission was just not the same without Hinata on his team. He really missed the girl, hoping she was alright without her team to keep her company. If only she knew how much he loved her. But he knew that the girl had a huge crush on the crazy blond. This made his chances of winning her heart almost zero, but somehow he knew that there was still a small chance if he played his cards right.
While they were on the mission, Kiba couldnt help but notice that Sakura had changed a lot. She didnt treat Naruto like she used to at all anymore. Hell, the girl even seemed interested in the boy sometimes. Could it be that the pink haired girl had feelings for the blonde? Thinking about this made him kind of confused though. Was Sakura finally getting over her crush on the raven haired boy? Sasuke, the dark Uchiha, who had betrayed his village and most of all his team mates just so that he could gather more power. Was it really possible for her to give up on Sasuke to give all her love to Naruto? If that was the case it would make winning Hinatas heart much easier. But there was still one huge problem. He sighed as he saw the blonde boy walking in front of him. The whiskered boy was too blind to see Sakuras changes. He was only thinking about getting stronger, so that he could save his lost team mate.
Kiba let out a sigh. Even when he wasnt there, the Uchiha made him want to crack his skull.
When he got back home, he really needed to speak to Sakura about this problem. It would be hard for him to admit his feelings to someone he barely knows, but his pride had to be set aside for the love he felt for the Hyuuga girl. But then again, Sakura also needed to confess her love to Naruto for his plan to work. A grin appeared on his face when he thought of this. So he probably wasnt alone in this situation after all. If he was right about the pink haired girl, then she was in the same situation as him.
Thinking about this made him feel more confident about his plan, knowing that if they both confessed, he would be a very happy man soon. If Sakura and Naruto were to get together, then he might be able to help Hinata to get over her crush on the whiskered boy. And that way he might get Hinata to notice him and then it would be the best time to confess him feelings for the dark haired girl. Yes the plan seemed perfect. He couldnt wait to be back to his village anymore.
Akamaru, lets race the last bit. What do you say, buddy? Kiba asked, patting his trusty partner on the head.
The big white dog barked cheerfully and took off in a fast pace, leaving his team mates far behind him. Approaching the gates, Kiba jumped off Akamarus back. He was a little lost in thoughts as he was standing in front of the gates, until Akamaru started to bark loudly. Looking up, he saw the most beautiful sight he had ever seen. Hinata was approaching the gates with a soft smile adorning her pretty face. He blinked a few times to make sure that he wasnt dreaming, because this was exactly the comeback that he had been waiting for. But as the girl was still there after he opened his eyes again, a big smile came upon his face.
A small blush appeared on his cheeks when he saw her coming closer. Kiba-kun, I am so glad youre back. How was the mission? She asked as she closed the distance between the two. Looking at him with a happy smile on her face, the purple haired girl gently patted Akamaru on its head. And where are the others? She looked around as she finished speaking.
Kiba smirked as he scratched the back of his head. The mission went great! With Sakura in our team no one can get hurt. We completed the mission with ease! The boy exclaimed as he gave the girl a quick wink before he continued again. And Hina-chan, you know very well that no one can beat me when it comes to speed with Akamaru at my side!
Hinata giggled because she knew how true that was.Of course Kiba-kun. Smiling softly, she looked the boy in the eyes. The young girl was happy to have her team mate back with her in the village. It wasnt long before the rest of the team entered the village. Naruto was grinning at something Sakura had just told him, while Shino walked a little bit behind the two of them, talking to his bugs.
Oi Kiba, was that really necessary making a fool out of yourself like that? You could at least wait for us, you know! Naruto said slightly annoyed as he got closer to the Inuzuka.
And who are you to command me eh, mister clown Was Kibas firm reply.
Why you, Kiba! Naruto exclaimed as he clenched his fist. It was a known fact that these two were good at provoking each other. They were kind of the same, so neither of them liked to back off as well. But before the two wild Shinobi could attack each other, Sakura jumped to action and knocked both boys on the head.
The pink haired girl sighed as she placed her hands at her hips. Naruto and you too Kiba, why cant you guys act mature once in awhile! Geez!
Gomen, Sakura-chan... Naruto softly replied as he brought a hand to the newly added bump on his head.
Kiba just gave her an arrogant glance, before he turned to his team mate Hinata again. He could see that the purple haired girl had a looks of distress in her eyes. Kiba knew that it was because he had almost touched her crush. Kiba-kun, please dont fight with Naruto-kun. Try to keep your cool, please? She asked as she looked towards the ground.
Kiba sighed as he glanced away from the girl.Sorry Hina-chan, but that guy really gets on my nerves sometimes.
Shaking her head Hinata grabs his hand and urged him to follow her. Kiba-kun, come on. Why dont we go see
Tsunade-sama. You need to report back, remember? Never one to say no to this girl, he nodded slowly as he starts walking towards the tower with her, leaving Naruto, Sakura and Shino behind with amused looks on their faces.
One might say that Kiba and Hinata are a couple in the way they acted just now. What do you guys think? Sakura exclaimed still staring at the backs of the two members of team eight.
Naruto turned to the pink haired girl and raised an eyebrow. Uhm I dont know, Sakura-chan. They are team mates after all. Its normal to be close to each other when youre in the same team, right? The blonde boy said as he slightly tilted his head.
Shino just stayed silent as he knew Kiba much better than these two. Naruto was going to be so surprised when his team mate would finally make his move on the shy Hyuuga girl. A rare grin appeared on the bug shinobis face as he turned around, before walking towards the hokages tower.
